Pastor’s Notes

Hello!

We had a visitor to Pizza Church the last Friday of October. He was a doctor who had gone on several medical missions to Central America. He shared with the kids about his experiences there.

I share this because I want you to know two things. First, we take mission work seriously here at The Power House and find ways for people to engage in it, either by serving in different locations or by donating to groups that do.

Second, we want the kids at Pizza Church to start dreaming of how they might be able to make a difference in our world. It could be through mission work far away or being active in local projects.

Serving others is a critical part of Christian Discipleship. We hope that you, too, will look for ways in which your children can serve the people around them.

Scholarships

Graceland University, our denomination’s college in Lamoni, Iowa, has recently announced new scholarships available to students who have been active members of the church. These scholarships cut the cost of tuition at Graceland by 50%. If college is in your child’s future, you’ll want to consider Graceland as an option.
